moments of fragility: the intricacies of motherhood

Listening to your children laugh.

Touching them, holding them.

Hearing them ask the big questions: “Am I going to die?”

Feeling insignificant.

Wondering how you will ever be enough.

Knowing that you will be, and you are.

Knowing nothing better than them.

Nothing purer. Nothing more willing, more open.

Loving them. Loving life. Loving motherhood.

Knowing things are good.

Good, yet agonising. How can I ever do these precious humans justice?!
